Caveat

Georgia offers many statutory and negotiated programs for new investment. The following examines official economic and industrial programs of general application offered by local and State governments in Georgia as opposed to negotiated agreements. Facts and figures were obtained both through media reports and official publications available to the public. This data was not verifiable and should not be construed for purposes other than preliminary information.

i. Direct Financial Programs

Programs that provide direct monetary assistance to businesses

ii. Indirect Financial Programs

Grants and loans to local governments and community organizations to foster business development and promote continued training and education.

iii. Tax Based Programs

Tax credits, abatements, exemptions, refunds and other special tax treatment
