Working Groups: Regulatory Harmonization

The objectives of the Regulatory Harmonization Working Group are to review specific automotive regulations which differ between Canada and its NAFTA trading partners; to facilitate harmonized Canadian regulations with those in the U.S.; to create a product environment that respects self-certification to one set of regulatory requirements across North America and in the long term globally, and satisfies societal needs efficiently; and, to develop one set of manufacturing and vehicle in-use requirements across all jurisdictions in Canada. The working group is chaired by David Mondragon, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited.
